Haven't had a one of these in a while guys and girls so can you list up daily supps you are taking and the reason behind why you take them?


I'll get us started -


Iodine 3 drops from a dropper - main reason thyroid output but a host of other benefits too


Co-enzyme q10 non synthetic version (300mg) daily - heart / cardio vascular health


Cayenne pepper 5g roughly necked like a shot in water - cardio vascular health / motabolism


Ginger - I infuse fresh ginger in water, drink roughly 1.5 litres each day, variety of health benefits main one is cardio vascular health and digestion aid.


Rough cost is 20 pounds for the co-enzyme q10 3 months supply


Cayenne pepper 9 pounds for 3 months supply


Iodine 15 pounds for 3 month supply

D3 - reduced sun exposure in uk

Garlic Extract - natural blood thinner, alternative baby aaspirin

Vit C - antioxidant/immune support

Immune Defence Tab - Immune support/doubles up as a good multi vit.

Hibiscus- BP/Cholestoral

Om 3 - bp/heart/cholestoral/anti inflam

Lauric Acid (Lauracidin) - immune support

COQ10 - as per mick

NAC - liver support

Bio Curcumin - anto cancer

Cayenne Pepper -

Cinamon - Insulin sensitivity

Metformin - gluscose disposal agent/insulin sensitiivty

Accutane - keep skin clear

Protein Blend

Pepto Pro - intra workout preotein

Vitargo - intra workout carb

Spinach Powder

Leucine - intra workout to "turn on" protein synthesis

Thats the base then based on result from bloods in a month or so and whether I need to get/keep bp down when weight starts going up...

IP6 - chelates iron and other heavy metals and eliminates them from your system. High protein diets usually have high levels of iron, which can cause buildup and toxicity to organs. Also think heavy metal gear/ugl.

Beta Glucans - good for cholesterol and to guard against colon cancer

Ubiquinol - bp/cardiac health

Quercetin - blood pressure, anti cancer, gut health

Citrus Bergamot - good for cholestoral

When on Lantus/Novorapid will use....these are all GDA/Insulin mimmetis etc

Thanks DV do you advocate food or liquid food after training?
As I train early, after a good breakfast, I have a shake during my session that I sip at to ensure I keep topped up and then eat when I get home - Milk, chilli w/rice, a banana and usually some kind of treat to finish (today I had a penguin bar LOL)

Was taking mass gainer that had a load of shit in it but trying to drop weight for the comp so I'm lucky if I have whey post workout

A few bits I would say are necessary...the insulin ancils for instance.


I guess there are a few bits I would take now regardless of gear and bbing.


The rest is subjective I reckon. Alot of it is very nice to have if your staying on though.


Some of it will make you grow better.


Not necessary though no I suppose.
 
I've never been one for supps tbh.

Started on fibre supps recently and found a difference so I'm branching out.

When I've got some more time on my hands I'm going to have a look at the ones you've posted.

Only supp I take daily nowadays is Fish oil.

If I were cutting hard, I would add fibre for sure, and would stagger vitamins, but would no longer use any of these on a daily basis, especially if not cutting.

Zinc - Hair, skin and immune system

Folic Acid - My wig

Glutathione - Master antioxidant, de toxifier (infused once a year)

Interesting that a few appear a couple of times


Been researching some more natural supplements as of late with great interest / findings will post more later when not pushed for time
