Only 1 day training done this week.

Ive been down with a real bad case of gastroenteritis and barely moved all week. Knew something was off Monday as I was really red in the face when training and everything was 10-20% down. Put it down to the hard partying over the weekend at first but literally passed out after that session and stayed that way all week lol.

Still forced rest period was probably needed but christ it'll hurt going back next week lol

That's not fun to have at all, get a good weekend's eating and drinking in your system

Trained on Tuesday but it was a shit one and ended up in bed for the rest of the week. This bloody illness is a killer. Never remember having something hang around for so long before but it felt like it developed in to another illness half way through the week. Hopefully I can shift it over the weekend. On the plus side 12+ hours of sleep a day lol

If it's not gone by Monday Ill need to go Dr I think as that's to long and I am worrying it's something more now I am an old man

Yeah, bud, you shouldn't be ill for this long, that's not good. Could just be a simple viral thing like my boy had but even still, better safe

Finally starting to feel a bit more normal again. Well as normal as I can ever feel lol. Got in for 2 sessions over the last 2 weeks and am cruising at 250mg so went in with a slowly slowly approach and didn't try anything to stupid

    Bench press
    20x20, 40x14, 60x12, 80x10, 100x12, 120x9, 100x11

    Db flyes
    26x12, 28x12

    Seated db press
    42x12, 44x10, 40x8

    Lying cable cross lat raise
    18x16, 21x14, 21x12

    E-z bar skulls
    30x12, 40x12, 50x11, 40x12

Single arm pushdown - all done side to side with no rest between sets
    18x12, 9x14, 4x16 - all slow as

    Seated calf raise
    40x14, 60x14, 60x12

    Few dc stretches to finish.

Felt pretty bloody epic to feel energetic and normal after the last 3 or so weeks. Was surprised that bench was still up that high after not doing it for so long, having been ill, having barely trained and being on a cruise but it was all good. Even db press was ok hence why I went a little higher on the 2nd set as 42 felt a lot easier than I thought it would after the bench work. Soon died a death after that lol. Will spend this week finding my feet again and taking it slowly but steps are already at 10k+ and training felt good so far.

Wasn’t to bad was it. Must admit I was expecting a lot worse and could’ve pushed more if I didn’t burn out on the way up thinking I didn’t have much. Getting wise now I’m in my 40’s!

Day off today but forgot to update yesterday. Managed to get out for a wander today in the glorious sun and got my haircut. Can’t stop moving about and doing things after being sick and barely doing anything for weeks. The house had never been so clean lol

    Ok yesterday went like thus

    Rack pulls
    60x12, 100x10, 140x8, 180x6, 220x4, 260x9, 220x5

    Lpd
    91x12, 64x15

    Uh seated cable row
    64x10, 91x13, 64x16

    Standing rear delt cable cross
    18x12, 21x10, 15x18

    Upright cable row
    71x8, 91x10, 81x13

    Db curl
    22x12, 18x12, 14x15

    Hammer cable curls
    27x12, 18x14, 9x18

Apparent from being completely gassed out for the back off set on racks all went well. Only a little bit off of best but really took my time and hit things strictly and slow.

First leg day for maybe 4 weeks I think. After being unwell I agreed to listen to myself and take it easy.

    Squats
    20x20, 60x10, 100x8, 120x4, 140x8

    Sldl
    60x10, 100x6, 140x10

    Leg curl
    61x14, 71x12, 85x12, 111x10

    Seated ham curl
    64x8, 81x10, 95x10

    Good girls
    93x16, 93x14

    Leg press calf raise
    80x18, 160x16

    Seated calf raise
    60x12, 80x14

No backoff sets and kept reps higher. Was also super slow on the curls and gg. Was really pleasantly surprised to have no knee pains or leg aches so the rest must have done the old pegs good. Happy enough and will likely keep the reps high and build up from these weights and use this as an opportunity to build up some more stamina in them with a different approach. Hoping it helps in regards to previous aches and pains
