Differerent Testing For Drugs

To cut a long story short I am looking at taking a voluntary drug test in the coming weeks to prove that I am not using anything.

Obviously I have used a lot in the past and a little presently (in last week - 6 months of nothing before that) but going to stop before I get into rut again

Question is if I go for a test if it more likely to be blood or urine? Also what is it likely to show. I don't usre anything bar benzos regular (only started again recently) and have used most other things at some point in the last few years

Im more concerned about active substances and getting the all clear on that, if the test pulled my previous use I would be screwed but I have been a pretty good boy of late, even relatively so with the booze.

Can anyone give me info about esting. Do I need to ask what I want to be tested for or is there a generic screen which tests for all. Essentially I have been wrongfully accused of being on drugs and want to prove my innocence! I'm no angel but not far from it these days
 
It's likely a piss test and benzodiazepines are a fail. It'll show anything you've taken recently that hasn't cleared, obvious I know. Check your half lives and cross your fingers.

Depends what they're testing for but usually they'll test for reccys and benzos, codeine, eph etc will all fail you as will a few other stims.

The sensible thing to do is lay off everything until your test, if you're using Valium it's got an awfully long half life so steer clear. Booze won't affect much but I'd defo stay off it the day/night before.

Common sense really mate. They'll test for whatever they see fit though usually mate.
 
Standard is a 5 or 7 panel test. Benzodiazepines will defo show up. If you have a script, suppose it's nothing to worry about. They hang around for ever though. Codeine can show up as morphine and cause a false positive. Tramadol won't show.

You can get the testing kits from amazon which are pretty good.

I thought though that a piss test wouly only show recent (few weeks most) use of some of those. I read a blood test and they can be gone in days.

She knows I have taken valium in the past. Would the test be likely to know even roughly how long ago or it would it be a case of just showing traces of use.

Is this a known thing? If I say I have used codeine would they possibly attribute it to this?

Yeah is just moreso that my mother thought I was drugged to the eyeballs. I know pal of mine recerntly was having blood tests every week (and failing them) He was a chronic user of just about everything and failed everytime and is now in rehab and doing much better than god.

Maybe I am worrying (or she is) worrying over nothing. Im bored shitless with no job, friends and just mope about all day so hardly going to be full of the joys of spring all the time am I. If anything I'm porbably seriously deoressed but don't want to go down that road again!

Yeah mate, codiene can through up a false positive. I work in a safety critical role and get tested. Not sure what the half life is though. Tramadol isn't actual an opiate though, that's why it doesn't show on a standard panel.

Yeah codeine actually breaks down to morphine mate, poppy seeds can give a false positive believe or not!

It'll show only if the half life hasnt titrated down enough to be
Below the testing benchmark mate.

For driving now it's pretty low. I imagine it'll differ from test to test though, depending who's doing it.
